Comments: I have heard of the Hollingsworths for many decades. I am not exactly sure of the connections; my Mom, Mary Elizabeth Harp Boone, did very extensive work, going all the way to Valentine in the 1600's. She died in 2005, and we have donated her many notebooks and records to the family records section at the Public Library in Shreveport, LA. Included are Ely, Cuberly (aka Coberly, Cubberly, and many other spellings), Tatum (Revolutionary War), and others. Unfortunately, she chose not to share her work with me, so I have minimal knowledge of the specifics of any families. I do have a Hollingsworth t-shirt, and some pictures of the Ely family (circa US Civil War). She became a member of the DAR on the history of James Tatum; she also was a member of the Colonial Dames and the UDC. Any information that I could furnish or obtain would be wonderful. I presently live near Austin, TX; after 35 years in Ft Lauderdale, FL and 9 in Austin proper.

I have the original documentation of the probate and conveyance of the Hollingsworth estate from 1865 and 1866, extending to further documents to 1890 with John Taylor who bought the estate. Most of the material is on vellum with wax seals.
